Neufund 101: How to invest in an offering on Neufund
Today we’d like to walk you through, step-by-step, how to invest in an offering. In the steps below, we’ll take you through the whole process and show you how investing on Neufund is both easy and secure.
Step 1: Getting started
To get started, head over to platform.neufund.org. Depending on whether you’re a new or returning investor, click the ‘Get started’, ‘Register’ or ‘Login’ button on the center of your screen.
Step 2: Choose how you’d like to register or login
The next step is to choose your login or registration method. If you’ve already created an account, login with your verified wallet. If you’re just getting started on Neufund, check out this helpful article walking you through how to register!
Step 3: Go to your Dashboard and preview the available investment opportunities
Once you’ve successfully logged in, go to your dashboard. From there, you’ll be able to preview the available investment opportunities on the platform. When you’ve found the opportunity you are most interested in, click anywhere within the box and you’ll be redirected to its listing page.
If you’ve just registered, there are a few steps you’ll need to complete before you can begin investing. Go to your profile to verify your email address, backup your recovery phrase (for Light Wallet users) and complete our built-in identity verification process. But don’t worry! These steps shouldn’t take more than a few minutes of your time. Once you’ve been verified, you’re ready to start investing!
Step 4: Go to the listing page for the ETO you are interested in
From the listing page, you can get to know the company and analyze all the terms of the specific investment offer you are interested in. For the full picture of the investment process, you can view the ETO timeline at the top of the page. When you have finished conducting your due diligence and you are ready, click the ‘Invest Now’ button (see image above).
Step 5: Select your wallet to invest
After you click the ‘Invest Now,’ you’ll see a window pop up on your screen asking you to select your wallet to invest. Choose the wallet you’d like to invest with. If you’d like to invest with EUR, select the ‘Invest with nEUR’ option and follow the information displayed on your screen.
Step 6: Enter your desired investment amount
Once you’ve selected your wallet, the next step is to enter the amount you would like to invest. Depending on which currency you are investing with, you will see the equivalent amount displayed in either ETH or EUR.
Below where you enter your desired investment amount, you will see a green box that displays how many of the company’s Equity Tokens you will receive, as well as your estimated NEU reward.
When you are ready, click ‘Invest Now’ to proceed to your investment summary. Don’t worry, you haven’t confirmed anything just yet.
Step 7: Review your investment summary and legal agreements
After you click ‘Invest Now,’ you’ll see a new window pop up on your screen that displays your investment summary. Before clicking confirm, review your summary and download your legal agreement. Check that the information you’ve entered is correct.
When you’re ready, click ‘Confirm’ to process your investment transaction.
Step 8: Confirm your transaction
After you click the ‘Confirm’ button, you’ll need to sign the transaction on your wallet.
In the example shown above, we’re using Metamask. If you’re using Metamask, you’ll see a new window pop up from your browser asking you to confirm the transaction. To proceed with the transaction, click the ‘Confirm’ button.
If you’re using a Ledger Nano, you’ll see a message appear on your device. To confirm the transaction, click the right hand button on your device.
Step 9: Hang tight! Your transaction is in process
After you confirm your transaction, it will be processed by the Ethereum Network. Please be patient as it may take some time for the transaction to be processed. While the transaction is in process, you won’t be able to make further transactions.
Step 10: Success! Your investment is confirmed
Once your investment transaction has been processed, new text will appear in the window indicating that your investment has been successfully confirmed. Congratulations!
Now, take a deep breath and pat yourself on the back ﹣ you’ve made your first investment on blockchain! Hoorah!
Click ‘View Portfolio’ to see your new investment in your portfolio.
Step 11: View your investment in your Portfolio
After you click the ‘View Portfolio’ button, you’ll be redirected to your Portfolio tab. Here, you’ll see your new investment under the ‘Reserved Assets’ section. Reserved assets are those which you have invested in, but have not yet settled. Once the offering is completed, your new investment will move to the ‘My Assets’ section.
And that’s it! You’re all set.
